Industry Leading Software

All design work is done in SolidWorks Professional under a current commercial license, with files exchanged in any format your shop or supplier needs — STEP, IGES, Parasolid, native SolidWorks parts and assemblies, or 2D drawings as PDF or DXF.
Design Principles

Every project starts with a conversation about what the part needs to do, what it has to fit, and what it has to cost. From there we move into concepts, CAD, prototype, and production drawings.
PCB Design/Layout Services

We convert legacy through-hole boards from the 1970s and 80s into modern surface-mount layouts, including digitizing original Diazo films when no source files survive. Substituting obsolete components with current equivalents is part of the work — 20 years of it.

Phases of Mechanical Design

  1. Concept: Define what the part needs to do and rough out options.

  2. Preliminary Design: Sketches, material selection, and manufacturability review.

  3. Detailed Design: Create precise CAD models, prototype, and test for performance and quality.

  4. Refinement: Address issues from prototype testing — fit, strength, cost.

  5. Production Prep: Final drawings, BOMs, and documentation for the shop.

  6. Production Support: Stay available through first-article runs and tooling adjustments.

Start Your Design with Brainstorming

Before any CAD work starts, we sketch, talk through manufacturing options, and pressure-test the requirements against what your shop and budget can actually support. Most of the cost in a project is locked in during these early conversations — material choices, fastening methods, tolerances. An hour up front routinely saves weeks of rework later.

Design Capabilities.

Structural Design

Frames, brackets, weldments, and load-bearing assemblies. We size for strength and fatigue, with manufacturability built in from the start.

Sheet Metal Design

Enclosures, chassis, and brackets designed with bend allowances, tooling limits, and finish requirements built in from the start.

Plastic Injection Design

Part design with draft, wall thickness, and gate locations worked out before the mould maker sees a file. DFM included.

Automation

Custom fixtures, jigs, end-of-arm tooling, and machine guarding designed around your existing equipment, throughput targets, and operator workflow.

PCB Layout/Reverse Eng.

Through-hole to surface-mount conversions, schematic recovery, and modern board layout from legacy hardware — including obsolete part substitution.

PCB Board/Film Digitizing

Old Diazo films, phototools, and bare boards scanned, cleaned up, and rebuilt as production-ready Gerber files with full layer data.
